Important compliance note: This policy is written to align with Apple App Store privacy requirements based on the information supplied for Jain Shadi Milan and the current Apple App Review Guidelines. App Store approval cannot be guaranteed by the wording of a policy alone. The app’s actual data collection, SDK configuration, permission prompts, account-deletion flow, report/block tools, and App Store Connect App Privacy answers must match this document.
1. Who We Are
Jain Shadi Milan (“Jain Shadi Milan”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) operates the Jain Shadi Milan mobile application and related website. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we collect and use it, when we share it, how long we retain it, and how you can request deletion or exercise your privacy choices.
2. Information We Collect
We may collect information that you provide when creating or maintaining a matrimonial profile, including your name, email address, mobile number, date of birth, gender, educational qualifications, marital status, profile password, profile photographs, family background, horoscope information, partner preferences, and biography/profile information.
3. Information Collected Automatically
When you use the application, we may collect technical and diagnostic information such as device model, operating system version, app logs, IP address, and app performance or crash information. Any identifier or analytics data is collected only as permitted by the applicable Apple privacy requirements and the permissions or choices presented to you.
4. Location Information
If the application requests Location Services and you grant permission, we may process location information to provide location-related matchmaking features, such as suggesting potentially relevant profiles based on geographical proximity. You can manage or revoke Location permission through iOS Settings. If you do not grant location permission, location-dependent features may be unavailable.
5. Sign-In Services
If you choose to sign in using a third-party authentication service, such as Sign in with Apple or Google Sign-In, we may receive the basic account information that the provider makes available to us and that you authorize. The information received depends on the sign-in method and your choices with that provider.
6. iOS Device Permissions
The app may request the following permissions only when needed for the related feature:
- Camera: to capture a profile photograph or other image you choose to submit.
- Photos: to let you select photographs from your device for upload.
- Location Services: to support location-based matchmaking features, where enabled.
- Notifications: to send alerts about relevant app activity, such as match interests, messages, or account updates.
We do not access the camera, photos, location, or notifications beyond the permission granted by you and the functionality described above. You can change permissions at any time in iOS Settings.
7. How We Use Information
We use information to:
- create, authenticate, and manage your account;
- create and display your matrimonial profile;
- suggest potentially relevant matches based on your profile and partner preferences;
- enable communication and interactions between users where the relevant feature is available;
- detect and address fraud, spam, fake profiles, abuse, and violations of our terms or community standards;
- provide customer support;
- monitor, troubleshoot, and improve application performance and reliability; and
- comply with applicable legal obligations and respond to lawful requests.
8. User-Generated Content, Reporting, and Blocking
Users may submit profile information, photographs, messages, and other content through the service. We maintain standards against objectionable content, harassment, abusive behavior, fraud, and fake profiles. Where these features are available in the app, users can report profiles, messages, or uploaded content and can block other users. We review reports and may remove content, restrict access, suspend accounts, or terminate accounts that violate our terms or community standards. Our support contact information is provided below.
9. Sharing and Third-Party Services
We do not sell or rent your personal information for commercial or marketing purposes. We may share limited information with service providers that help us operate, secure, analyze, or support the application, such as infrastructure, analytics, and crash-reporting providers (for example, Firebase Analytics or Crashlytics if used in the app). Such providers may process information on our behalf and are expected to protect it consistently with this Privacy Policy and applicable requirements.
We may also disclose information when required by law, legal process, or a valid government request, or when necessary to protect the rights, safety, security, or integrity of our users, service, or organization.
10. Tracking and Advertising
Jain Shadi Milan does not state that data is used for cross-app or cross-website behavioral advertising unless such functionality is actually implemented and disclosed. If the app introduces tracking or an advertising technology that requires user permission under Apple’s rules, the app will request the applicable permission and update its privacy disclosures and App Store privacy information as required.
11. Data Retention and Account Deletion
You can initiate deletion of your account from within the iOS app by going to Settings > Account > Delete Account. The deletion process is intended to remove your account and associated personal information, including profile information and user-generated content associated with the account.
For Jain Shadi Milan’s current deletion process, profile details, photographs, matches, and chat history are permanently removed from our active database within 30 days after a valid deletion request. Where the law requires us to retain particular information, we may retain that information only for the period and purpose required by law.
You may also contact info@jainshadimilan.com to request account deletion or ask questions about your data. Email support is an additional contact method; it is not intended to replace the in-app account deletion option for ordinary users.
12. Your Privacy Choices
You may manage available device permissions through iOS Settings. You may also request deletion of your account and associated personal information as described above. Where consent is the legal basis for a particular processing activity, you may withdraw that consent by changing the relevant device or app permission, subject to the effect this may have on the related feature.
13. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure. Data transmitted between the app and our services is protected using appropriate transport security such as HTTPS/TLS where supported. No method of transmission or storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
14. Children’s Privacy
Jain Shadi Milan is intended for adults and is not directed to children. Users must be at least 18 years old to create or maintain an account. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we learn that an account belongs to a person under 18, we may take steps to remove the account and associated information, subject to applicable law.
15. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when our services, data practices, or legal requirements change. When we make changes, we will update the Effective Date and publish the revised policy through our website or app as appropriate. Your continued use of the service after an updated policy becomes effective means you acknowledge the revised policy.
